Dive Sites around Koh Samui Thailand Our Samui dive center caters for the divers that wish to dive the entire area around Samui and Koh Tao - we have a weekly schedule. Koh
Tao has an abundance of dive sites. The dive sites are diverse, from
sites like Chumphon pinnacle which is 25 - 30 meters deep and often frequented
by large pelagic species to Mango bay which is 8 meters deep and has amazing
corals and schooling reef fish - Koh Tao has it all. The
one day tours we offer are conducted from a speedboat. Koh Tao is situated
approx 70 kms north of Koh Samui so a speedboat is the ideal way to travel for a
day tour. The day starts with transfers from your hotel to the boat at SAIL
ROCK Sail rock stands 15 meters above the surface and drops down to 35 meters deep. One particularly beautiful feature is a wall dive with a swim through from 18 meters deep up to 6 meters. The natural sun light penerating the top of the swimthrough make it a picturesque and safe experience for all levels of divers. Sightings of the awe-inspiring whale sharks, reef sharks and manta rays are common here and on all dives the large schools of tuna, jacks, travelly and barracudas set against an abundance of hard and soft corals make this site one you will want to dive again and again. The site is suitable for all levels of divers and often used for Open water training and Advanced courses. Night
dive at Sail Rock Samui
National Marine Park
This
group of over 80 islands lies 30 Kms The
dive site has amazing coral gardens with 100's of different species of hard and
soft coral. Topped with a wide variety of schooling reef fish it is a diving
paradise for all recreational divers. With the site location it is best dived
during the months of September to January. However it is accessible throughout
the year. Local
sites and night dives The Samui dive center is based in Chaweng beach on the east coast of Samui. At the beach front there is a reef that stretches for 4 kms. This reef is 6 meters deep and is excellent for rusty divers and student divers. It has an abundance of hard and soft corals and 100's of species of reef fish. Being a walk in entry and a very easy site to navigate it is a great site to start with if you haven't dived this season. A divemaster will accompany all groups and due to the depths , longer dives are possible. The visibility here is limited due to tides etc and will vary from 3 meters to 10 meters. This is a great option for those who suffer from motion sickness as no boat trip is required. Night dives are also available on Chaweng reef any night of the week. Diving Koh Samui.
