PADI Divemaster
Course: As a PADI Rescue Diver or as a PADI Master Scuba Diver you can
follow the professional path and become a PADI Dive master. As a
Dive-master
you will learn leadership skills, and how to work as an instructional
assistant and underwater guide. Maybe even work here in Pattaya, Koh Samui,
Koh Tao, Phuket or as an instructor on a liveaboard boat in the Similans -
Enjoy the islands, reefs, fish and coral here in Thailand or anywhere else
in the world for a living - life really can 'be a beach'.
It is
an extensive course with 8 written exams, assisting an instructor with
students in pool and on open water training locations, has swimming and
snorkeling evaluations as well as another Rescue simulation, refines your
skills in the skill circuit and tests your imagination with the underwater
equipment exchange and underwater mapping. Upon certification as a PADI
Divemaster, you become a professional PADI member and receive all of the
benefits that go with it. This is the crucial step you need to take to
become an Assistant Instructor and/or Open Water Scuba Instructor.
The diver course duration is usually 10
days ++
depending on the divers standard and amount of dives prior to starting the
course. To become certified as a PADI DM you need to have a minimum
of 60 dives under your belt. This course can be taken as an internship and
usually leads to the assistant instructor level.
Due to
the intensive nature of the course many people like to prepare before
starting. This can be achieved by academic home study.
The
course price is 28,000 Baht (not including manuals and other essential

Instructor
The
Assistant Instructor course is the last level before becoming a full
PADI Open Water Instructor. As an 'AI' you will be able to teach certain
portions of academic studies for certain courses. You'll have more
responsibility with student divers in and out of the water. This is
a great preparation course if wishing to go further onto instructor. If Instructorship is not your goal then this is a great level of
achievement proving that you really know your stuff.
