Welcome to P J Scuba, part of the Mermaids CDC (Learn-in-Asia) Group (Important mission statement), the premier scuba diving company for SCUBA enthusiasts in Thailand - we are based in Jomtien, Pattaya, Thailand but arrange Scuba all over Thailand. We cater to everyone from the beginner diver through to professional scuba training leading to dive careers. P J Scuba and Mermaids PADI Career Development Center can be contacted for a holiday PADI open Water course, serious technical diving training or a 6 month scuba diving internship leading to dive work. We cover all bases including Liveaboard trips through out Thailand.

Whether you are an open water diver, a rescue diver, a divemaster or wish to try diving for the first time we can help. Novices can learn SCUBA diving training in the safety of a swimming pool. We also offer daily dive trips, wreck diving (great shipwrecks), PADI - PSAI - DSAT (Inc Deep Tec) - Nitrox (Enriched Air), ASSET & DITC (Dive Industry Technician Course) courses, technical and rebreather diving, snorkeling and even live-aboard trips. Naturally, we offer the most personal service that ensures complete comfort for you during your stay, however long. Mainly based in Pattaya (Phattaya) and Bangkok, I organize diving in Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Lanta, diving Ao Nang, Koh Lipe, Koh Chang, dives in Phuket and of course recreational diving at the Similan and Surin islands also. All dive agencies - PADI, NAUI, BSAC, SSI, PSA, SDI, TDI CMAS and ADS etc are recognized. (Professional dive agency crossovers available on request).

There are many beautiful uninhabited coral islands where we conduct our scuba dive training and our day trips. You'll be pleasantly surprised just how good our coral reefs really are here just off of Pattaya bay, with shallow and deep dives catering to all. P J Scuba in this beautiful country of Thailand. Having 4 dive boats that leave daily we cover the Hardeep Shipwreck, the Kram, the near and the far islands each day - what a choice! Mermaids CDC (PADI Dive Career Development Center) Pattaya, Thailand offers all-inclusive PADI professional Scuba Dive Instructor traineeships and Dive Master internships. Since 1999 Mermaids have built an incredible dive internship program to cater for all levels of diver and divers' needs. Master Scuba Diver internships for those wishing to be the best recreational diver possible. Divemaster internships (DM internship) for those wishing to enter the professional scuba diving industry and gain dive work. Once scuba diving work experience has been gained (through Mermaids or externally), an OWSI (Open Water Scuba instructor) upgrade internship can be taken to become a more employable diver.

Scuba diving career development continues with MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer) and PADI Staff instructor all the way to PADI Course Director offered. An exclusive diver job placements partnership with Divers Jobs (dot com) allows our professional diver to find scuba diving work very efficiently. As the dive jobs are advertised our divers receive the details of the scuba employment prior to the dive work being advertised elsewhere - this is a very strong dive employment service.

Specialized diver training including IAHD (Handicapped Diving Instructors), Tropical Dry Suit training and technical diving programs such as DSAT Deep Tec and DSAT Tri-mix divers courses - instructor  courses available in all allowing the diver to teach and work in diving in these areas. For marine conservation Mermaids have the Coral Reef Check program - the Coral Reef Check Eco Diver Course educates the divers in transect line studies, fish and substrate identification and data collection and collation.
