Now I stumbled across this guest house (mini hotel) on the internet and what a great find it was. In the center of busy Bangkok (Sukhumvit area) there's a brand new Number One Guesthouse Bangkok with nice rooms, comfortable beds, sportsbar and state of the art internet. Having only opened August of 2003 everything is fitted well and maintained very well. The guest house has FREE 20 minutes of internet time per guest per day (ADSL connection), a great sports bar with 2 nicely clothed and maintained pool tables, great music and large TV, a superb mixed menu in their restaurant and nice personal service. If you go I must recommend both the Cornish Pasties and also the Spaghetti - great value for money.

The rooms that this little catch have are clean, nice and just opened in august 2003. The "Number One Guesthouse" can offer you different types of rooms.

• Dorm rooms for 4 and for 6 people. - Private rooms for 3 people. - Private rooms with shower for 1 or 2 people. - One big private-suite room with (satellite) - TV, shower, toilet, fridge. All of the rooms have air-conditioning and good beds, that means new mattresses and always freshly washed linen. Also will every guest be provided with fresh clean towels. They also have a washing machine available for you.

DORM ROOMS

The dorm room for 6 people is 225 Baht/person/night. If you come with a group and want the room for yourself, the room rate is 1000 Baht.

The dorm room for 4 people is 200 Baht/person/night. A bit cheaper because the room is a little smaller than the other, but the comfort is guaranteed the same.

The private room for 3 people has a bunk bed, with place to sleep for 2 people down and 1 people up. Comfortable and private. For 1 person the room price is 350 Baht, for 2 persons the room price is 450 Baht and for 3 people the room price is 500 Baht.

All above mentioned rooms have shared shower rooms and toilets.                  

PRIVATE ROOMS

All private rooms have double beds and a private shower room. The room price is for 1 person 400 Baht and for 2 persons 500 Baht. All rooms again conform to the clean fresh standards.

There are also got 2 suite-rooms, one which is very big and has a double shower unit and a waterbed. Price for the room is 700 Baht per night.

The other suite-room has a double bed, satellite - TV, fridge, and own bath room. (standard private room with shower).

For every guest there is free high speed ADSL internet 20 minutes per day per night stayed. 

Further there is all day round breakfast served, from small to very big, and great lunches and diners. Many snacks, burgers, fries, pies etc. A nice mix of the Western and Thai kitchen.
