There's a place that we all like to go - especially for a beer after a dive. Everyone has their personal favorite hangout in Pattaya, Thailand. The place where a lot of like minded divers like to chill out is the Cowboy bar on Soi Yamoto next to Soi Post office. The Cowboy bar is great for 3 reasons:

• It's probably the cheapest bar in town - I defy anyone to leave that bar with a tab over 1000 baht and not stagger.

• You can be left alone in your group with excellent attentive service on the drink front without being hassled by "interested parties" continuously.

• You can have a bloody good party there if that's what you are after.

25 baht - Any Thai whiskey or brandy per shot and they are large (with or without mixer).

35 baht - Small bottle of Beer Chang.

55 baht - Large bottle of beer Chang.

45 baht - Draft beer or bottled i.e. Heineken or Carlsberg.

They do a great cup of Cha (literally tea in Thai) also. Try it with the breakfast.

They offer some great Thai and western food also. The menu is fairly limited but it's well worth a visit especially f you wish to meet like minded divers. Go any time and ask for me (Pete) "You know for diving!" - and they'll let you know when the crowd is arriving.
